From Conflict to Connection—Let’s
Rebuild What Matters Most
Angela Skurtu, LMFT-S, CST-S
Couples come to me to work through everything—parenting, money, sex, burnout, chores, in-laws, schedules, trust, emotional labor, and who accidentally became the household CEO without applying for the job. That’s not a problem; that’s my specialty. In couples therapy with me, we take whatever you’re stuck in and turn it into real-life change: clearer roles, fairer systems, better communication, and a partnership that actually feels like a team. Whether you’re untangling infidelity, rebuilding intimacy, managing family stress, or figuring out how to run a household without resenting each other, we build practical tools you can use on a random Tuesday night when things usually fall apart.
I’m Angela Skurtu, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Missouri, and I’ve been helping couples since 2008. My work isn’t about quick fixes or “just communicate better” advice—it’s about teaching sustainable practices and systems that grow with your family over time. Most couples were never shown easier ways to balance work life, home life, and relationship care, so we design those together—with warmth, honesty, and a little playful humor to keep defenses down. Humans are my favorite puzzles to solve, and helping couples create a life that works better, feels lighter, and brings them back to being best friends and lovers is what I do best.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist, I specialize in helping couples reconnect emotionally and physically. In sessions, we tackle real-life challenges like:
This is not cookie-cutter therapy. Together, we’ll create a safe space to say what’s really going on—and work toward practical, lasting change. You’ll learn tools to communicate with empathy, set boundaries with respect, and reignite the passion you once had.
Because when you open up emotionally, physical intimacy often follows. And when you prioritize your connection, everything else starts to flow again.
